Ardie's Movers accepts single-item furniture moves. A heavy dresser on a third floor can require more planning than several lighter pieces beside a ground-floor entrance.

Why can moving just 1 or 2 pieces still be complicated?
Weight
Heavy pieces can require more equipment and coordination. CCOHS recommends appropriate help and team handling.
Size and shape
A large sofa may be awkward through doors, stairs and turns. WorkSafeBC identifies load size and shape as handling factors.
Stairs
Flights, turns, landings, dimensions and working space change the route.
Narrow access
Photos and measurements can help assess doors, halls and corners.
No elevator
Upper-floor moves can require substantially more manual handling.

Yes. Furniture pickup, delivery, unloading and placement can be included when agreed. Ardie's Movers is not a general parcel courier or freight company.
Store pickups
Provide both addresses, dimensions, pickup requirements and destination access.
Private-sale pickups
The furniture, seller's location, destination and route are assessed before quoting.
Moving furniture between homes
Pieces can move to another home, family property or temporary location.

Basic furniture
Bed frames, removable table legs and simple detachable parts may be handled after assessment.
When disassembly helps
Removing a basic component may reduce size and improve clearance through the route.
When furniture should be assessed first
Not every piece is designed for repeated disassembly. Review the manufacturer's assembly guidance where relevant.
What isn't automatically included?
Complex or specialty assembly, wall mounting and appliance disconnection or reconnection are not automatically included.
Assessment comes first Taking a piece apart may help the route, but it can also affect fit, screw holes or performance.

The right equipment and route matter as much as moving slowly.
Fragile furniture
Disclose glass, delicate finishes, loose parts and existing damage beforehand.
Sentimental furniture
A senior client closely supervised older furniture because she feared damage. Ardie's Movers listened, planned around her concerns and completed the move without additional damage.
Already-damaged furniture
Existing wear does not mean an owner wants to leave a meaningful piece behind.
Protective wrapping is part of furniture handling where appropriate. Ardie's Movers does not currently provide full packing service.
Clarify the scope before booking
What if you no longer want the furniture?
Furniture disposal is not automatically included, and Ardie's Movers is not a dedicated junk-removal company. Decide whether the piece will be left, sold, donated or handled through an appropriate disposal service.
Do not assume the crew will take unwanted furniture away.
Discuss any requested arrangement before the quote is finalized.
